Help for Punk Rock Mommy
Who - Andrea Collins Smith - a/k/a Punk Rock Mommy.
What - well, she's dying of cancer. While breastfeeding her last child, she was suffering some strange pains. It was discovered she has the most horrible/aggressive form of breast cancer - inflammatory breast cancer. By the time they found it - it had already spread into her spine and other parts of her body. At this point - they are giving her a few weeks, maybe a few months.
Where - they currently live in Fishtown but have to vacate their home (owner has sold it). A friend is renting them a 'fixer upper' in South Philadelphia at below market. They need people and supplies to fix up the property so it's livable. They have to move by 8/25 so if there are listeners who can donate skills/material/moving - it would be great.
Contact Info - I think the best contact would be via email through punkrockmommyhelpers@hotmail.com. A core group of people head up this email address and coordinate everything for Andrea.
You are also welcome to post her blog www.punkrockmommy.org

A Mission to Visit Every Wawa in Existence By 2010
Who: Emily Koch, Ann Wuetig, Mary Speer, Jill Fitzpatrick, and Andi Sasin
What: Our Mission is to visit every Wawa in existence by 2010.
Where: WAWA! Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey, Virginia, Maryland
Why: Because we love Wawa! We have always had a love for Wawa. It was a crucial part of our high school social outings. Several of us have moved away from the area where there are no Wawas (Pittsburgh, DC, Rhode Island, Penn State, Chicago). We realized how special Wawa is, and no other convenience store was able to compare. This only grew our appreciation for Wawa.
When: Visit all of the Wawas in existance by 2010.
Contact Information: Please see our website at http://wawa2010.blogspot.com OR email Emily at Emilymayk7@yahoo.com
